Northern Ireland Hospice aims to deliver the highest quality palliative care and end of life care for infants, children and adults living with life limiting and life threatening conditions.  We care for local people and their families in their own homes and in our purpose built Dementia-friendly Adult Hospice at Somerton Road and at the Children’s Hospice at Newtownabbey.  In support of the charity objectives, we have 27 retail outlets, a social enterprise café, and we deliver education and research at a local and international level. 

The Board of Trustees wishes to make additional appointments to the Board of the Trading Company. We have an opportunity to invite professionals with solid business acumen and a wide variety of commercial experience, ranging from running a family business to operating at senior managerial or director level in the private or third sector.  We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in the Retail (including online trading), Education/Training or Social Enterprise sectors.

The person appointed will have a personal empathy with the aims and ethos of the Hospice, and a desire to contribute to the strategic development of a successful social enterprise that helps sustain a highly respected local charity serving communities across Northern Ireland.
