NI Appropriate Adult Bank Worker – 20/REC/596

A Bank Worker is a person who may be called on to work as and when required but who does not have any guaranteed hours and who works sporadically with no set patterns of work. There is no obligation on the bank worker to accept work offered.

Location:  North West Region: L’derry, Strabane, Coleraine, may occasionally be required to travel to police stations throughout Northern Ireland.

Hourly Rate: £10.77 per hour.

Hours: Various - Mostly Evenings/Weekends / Occasional Weekdays

Closing date: 12 noon, Wednesday 16th December 2020

Job Purpose:

To ‘support, advise and assist’ vulnerable adults or juveniles detained in a police custody suite in line with the provisions of PACE C&H.

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge required:

• Must be able to demonstrate a minimum of 6 months experience of providing support to juveniles, mentally disordered or mentally vulnerable people.

OR

• Demonstrate a minimum of 1 years experience of providing advocacy and guidance type support in another care setting

• Knowledge of working with the PSNI, other statutory agencies and the voluntary sector.
