Nature Reserves Officer
Ulster Wildlife
The Nature Reserves Officer will be responsible for leading in the implementation of practical management and species and habitat monitoring across a range of Ulster Wildlife nature reserves in Northern Ireland, ensuring all legal and organisational requirements are met. The postholder will also support the general upkeep and maintenance of Ulster Wildlife land and property, including all matters of external presentation.
Job Description
Role: Nature Reserves Officer
Salary: £20,110 to £23,660 per annum depending on experience. (Pro rata) Access to employer’s contributory pension scheme - maximum 7% per annum.
Location: Ulster Wildlife Offices, McClelland House, 10 Heron Road, Belfast, BT3 9LE. Regular travel to nature reserves across Northern Ireland and there will be occasional travel throughout the UK and Ireland.
Contract: This is a three year fixed-term post. April 2020 to March 2023. This post is subject to a 6-month probationary period.
Hours: 22.5 hours per week to include some weekends and evenings. Mondays are essential but other days can be flexible.
Leave: 24 days per annum plus 12 days statutory holidays (pro rata).
Reporting to: Nature Reserves Manager.
Responsible for: Nature Reserves Volunteers, Trainees, placement students.
