MACS Board Member

MACS aim is to provide a range of support services for children and young people who haven’t had a fair deal in relation to housing, homelessness, mental health and participation. Our work is underpinned by a strong set of values, ethos and culture.
 
We are seeking Voluntary Board Members to join a diverse and committed team working co-operatively at governance and strategic level.

A commitment to the values, ethos, culture and objectives of MACS Supporting Children and Young People is essential, and an understanding of the areas in which we work would be advantageous but not essential.
 
This is an opportunity to join an organisation with an excellent record of innovation, advocacy and in providing and developing a comprehensive range of services for children and young people. The Board consists of men and women from a range of backgrounds with diverse skills and experience, who are working to meet challenges and opportunities in a changing environment. 
 
We want to enhance our membership and are particularly keen to attract people with substantial experience in Accountancy and Financial Management, people with an Employment Law background and people with experience in progressive Social Work.

 
Members will be required to attend at least six Board meetings per year and will be asked to join established sub groups (where applicable) which will require additional meetings.
 
Induction training will be provided and travel expenses will be reimbursed.
 

Salary: This is an unpaid voluntary position
