Lighthouse Community Development Coordinator

The Community Development Coordinator will work in partnership with other organisations, groups and individuals working in the community, to promote positive mental health and emotional well-being and to build community capacity and resilience within north Belfast and environs.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a community support and/or development role
• Understanding of North Belfast community infrastructure and community issues
• Experience in organising and managing a programme of work with multiple strands
• Experience of working effectively in co-operation with others to achieve shared goals
• Experience of liaising with a range of statutory, community and voluntary agencies
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, inclusive of proficiency in MS Office
• Able to relate to people effectively and patiently
• Able to understand the issues and interests of the communities involved
• Effective advocacy skills
• Ability to work flexible hours when required
