Learning and Development Administrator

Positive Futures is the leading local charity for people with a learning disability, acquired brain injury or autistic spectrum condition. We support children, young people and adults and their families throughout Northern Ireland.
Due to organisational growth and a restructure of our support functions we are seeking to fill a key position in our Learning and Development team. This is an opportunity for real job satisfaction supporting the organisation to fulfil its mission to ‘achieve dreams and transform lives’.
We are pleased to offer the following permanent full time position at our Head Office in Bangor. Flexible start and finish times will be considered:
L&D Administrator
£16,226.00 - £17,513.00 per annum
37.5 hours per week
Providing admin support for the Learning & Development Function for the whole organisation, you will gain exposure to a wide variety of learning and development tasks/disciplines. This is an excellent opportunity for a well organised and proactive individual, with a passion for learning and development, to grow their career with a progressive Organisation.
Essential Criteria
- Numerate and literate
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working in an administrative role and dealing with people
- Experience using MS Office in the workplace (to include Word and Excel)
- Proficient in the use of computerised systems and/or databases
Desirable
- Experience of working in a training/L&D function or related background
- CIPD Certificate in Learning & Development/HR
- Experience of using HR/Learning management systems

Holidays
The person appointed will be entitled to 31 days’ leave per annum increasing by one day for each complete annual year worked to a maximum of 36 days, inclusive of designated days outlined below.
Designated Holidays are New Year’s Day, St Patrick’s Day, Easter Monday, Easter Tuesday, May Day, Late May Day, 12 July, 13 July, August Bank Holiday, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Pension
Positive Futures operate a web based, Auto-Enrolment Pension Scheme which Positive Futures staff are automatically enrolled in as soon as they start employment. Details of this are available from the Human Resources Department.
Positive Futures will contribute 4% of your salary to the auto-enrolment scheme which is dependent on you making a personal contribution of 5% of your basic salary. If you wish to opt out of the scheme, you must contact the Pension Provider (currently Scottish Widows). Contact details can be obtained from the Human Resources Department.
Goodwill Payment
We recognise the loyalty and goodwill of our staff. In recognition of this and conditional upon secured funding levels, budget availability and Board of Trustees approval, a payment is made to staff who meet the identified criteria. This will be paid to staff with contracted hours who have been in post on 1 April of the year in question and who are on the December payroll of the same year. This is subject to satisfactory conduct and performance.
