INTENSIVE FLOATING SUPPORT WORKER (Prisons)
Full Time Fixed Term (January 2020 – June 2021)
MACS Floating Support services provide a range of interventions to assist young people aged 16 - 25 to access/maintain accommodation in the community. In this role you will also support young people that are leaving the prison service, to prevent repeat homelessness and reoffending of young people leaving prison through an intensive floating support model which addresses their complex needs and encompasses a coordinated and holistic approach to resettlement.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY POST HOLDER:
CRITERIA 1
- 2 years’ experience of working with young people aged 16-25 with a housing need

- Degree in Social Work, Youth and Community Work or similar
- 6 months experience of working with young people with a housing need
CRITERIA 2
- Experience of assessing risk and safety planning in order to keep young people safe
CRITERIA 3
- Experience of assessing need and support planning for young people
CRITERIA 4
- A full current driving license and access to a car is required so as to be able to meet the requirements of the post in full
DESIRABLE CRITERIA
- Previous experience of providing housing support in the community to young people that are leaving prison
Hours of Employment: 35 Hours per week
Salary: £23,100 per annum and pension at 4% of salary
