The post holder will assist and enable the Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership in the implementation of the Code of Practice and Guiding principles and co-ordinate Action Plan delivery to achieve agreed outcomes.

The successful post holder will support the strategic direction, development and review of all Neighbourhood Renewal activity within the Inner North Neighbourhood Renewal Area.

The Neighbourhood Renewal Co-ordinator will:

Liaise with the Neighbourhood Partnership Chair and Vice Chair on the implementation of the Neighbourhood Renewal Code of Practice and Action Plan.

Provide technical and secretariat support to the Inner North Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership and its associated thematic sub-groups under key NR priorities: Community, Physical, Economic and Social Renewal to ensure the implementation and delivery of the Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy, related Action Plan, Code of Practice and Guiding Principles.

Assist the Inner North Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership to review and prioritise needs and work collaboratively with community and statutory representatives to present programmes and project proposals to achieve agreed outcomes.   The Neighbourhood Renewal Co-ordinator will seek to secure “buy in” from statutory agencies, the community and other stakeholders, and act as a “Champion” for the Inner North Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership.

Support the implementation of the Neighbourhood Renewal Plan for Inner North Belfast.

Identify gaps in statutory provision and facilitation of agreement between local service providers on co-ordinated delivery with the Inner North area.

Report progress on the implementation of the Neighbourhood Renewal Action Plan to the Inner North Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership Board and its sub-groups.

Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders including public, private and community / voluntary organisations to ensure the co-ordination and effective delivery of proposed actions.

Represent the INNRP at relevant fora and meetings were appropriate and in agreement with the Partnership Chair.
