A bit about us

We are one of NI’s leading providers of high quality housing and supported housing services and our aim is to make a real difference to the lives of the people living in our homes.  We’re a driven, forward-thinking organisation, and we’ve ambitious plans for growing and modernising our services. This is an exciting time to help us shape services within our ICT team. We are looking for motivated, flexible and creative individuals to bring passion and commitment to supporting our staff in a dynamic and changing environment.

A bit about the role

We are seeking a 2nd Line ICT Support Engineer to provide 2nd level technical support, assisting with enquiries from internal customers to provide a first-time fix solution. Your normal working days will be Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6pm, but you must be flexible in order to meet customers’ needs including some evening work.

This is a responsive role - we have schemes across Northern Ireland so you will need a full UK driving license. Within the small ICT team, you’ll have opportunities to develop your skills working on a range of projects and systems.

You will assist with ICT duties including hardware/software builds and installations for our staff.  You will also provide 1st line support where needed. You’ll promote ICT security and self-service, supporting our staff in a professional manner and taking ownership of incidents.

A bit about you

To flourish in the role, you will have a really good understanding of what great customer experience looks like. You’ll have an NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in computing or relevant Technology qualification AND at least 2 years practical experience (recent within the last 5 years) of working in an ICT helpdesk environment and/or the provision of first/second line ICT technical support in a busy office environment. If you don’t have an NVQ Level 4 but have 5 years recent experience (within the last 7 years) in this environment then you should also consider applying.

You’ll also have at least 2 years’ experience in supporting users of the Microsoft Office application suite.

What you do need, is to be resilient, able to build trust and have a desire to help people do well.  Building and maintaining respectful relationships is key.

We’ll be impressed if you have knowledge of the social housing sector in Northern Ireland but don’t worry as long as you have the curiosity to find out, we’ll help you.

Want to apply?

Great; all you need to do is let us know more about what you will bring to the role, your experience and for you to tell us how you live our values. You can do this by downloading an application form from our website: www.clanmil.org or contact Marie-Therese Merron on the Recruitment Line 028 90876 011. You will find a full job specification for the post on the website too.

In return, we offer a fantastic rewards package from generous annual leave, pension contributions and an award winning work-life balance package which we are happy to tell you about.
