Homework Support volunteer with children and young people from the refugee community, in West Belfast.

Conway Education Centre

We are looking for volunteers who could give 1.5 hour a week during term time (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday) from 3.30pm to 5pm to help refugee children and young people with homework.

Conway Education Centre supports refugee families in West Belfast by providing support with Homework tasks to children and young people. The Homework Club is an education and integration project for refugee children and young people with a strong focus on English language development and educational support. It works with teams of volunteers supported by subject teachers and liaises closely with parents, teachers and key workers.

We are looking for volunteers and subject teachers, who could give 1.5 hour a week during term time (Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday or Thursday) from 3.30pm to 5pm to help refugee children and young people, at primary and secondary school level, with homework.  

If you have an interest in education and would like to help, please get in touch.

Volunteers will be asked to fill in an Access NI application, we cover reasonable volunteer travel expenses.
