Job Title: Project Manager Department Healthy North Belfast & Communities in Transition Health and Wellbeing Programme in North Belfast. Duration: Contract is until 31st March 2021 Hours: 37.5 hours per week Salary: £30,507.00 per annpro rata

 

Job Purpose

The post holder will be responsible for managing the ongoing delivery of Healthy North Belfast www.healthynorthbelfast.com and includes managing Ashton’s Communities in Transition Health and Wellbeing Programme in North Belfast.

Responsibilities to include: -

  • Manage and coordinate the Healthy North Belfast Task Group and other Task and Finish groups that may be established.
  • Coordinate the delivery of associated programmes and projects for both areas of work.
  • Manage, as required, other employees or volunteers who may be involved with the Healthy North Belfast or Communities in Transition programmes.
  • Build effective working relationships with organisations in the health, wellbeing and community development sector in North Belfast.
  • Coordinate engagement activities with local residents and/or communities across North Belfast.
  • Manage the competing demands and multiple interdependencies of Healthy North Belfast and Communities in Transition process in order to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure good communication with all stakeholders using a range of methods.
  • Establish monitoring and evaluation processes for both areas of responsibility.
  • Review outputs and outcomes and prepare relevant reports detailing progress against agreed objectives,
  • Make recommendations for development based on monitoring and evaluation information.
  • Oversee the management and delivery of Communities in Transition events and activities.
  • Attend meetings as required and undertake any necessary follow-up action.
  • Manage and be accountable for any project related finances.
  • Prepare and present relevant presentations to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks associated with the Healthy North Belfast and Communities in Transition programmes.

 

Essential Criteria

 

  1. 3rd level degree or equivalent.
  2. Minimum of three years’ project management experience, at a strategic level.
  3. Experience of multi -agency work.
  4. Evidence of high standard of oral and written communications skills.
  5. Ability to collect and collate diverse sources of data and prepare accurate analysis and briefings.
  6. Knowledge of community engagements in the context of community based health & wellbeing initiatives.
  7. Experience of managing competing deadlines in order to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently.
  8. A high level of computer literacy and familiarity with standard office software packages (e.g. Microsoft office).

 

Desirable Criteria

Knowledge and experience of working to address life and health inequalities

Experience of report writing

Experience of data management to include extraction and interrogation and report writing

 

Other

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic the successful candidate may be required to work from home.

Must be able to commute reliably to office base and venues throughout North Belfast.
