Groundwork NI are seeking a Grant Management Lead who will create a positive impact on communities throughout Northern Ireland by supporting the distribution of grant funding on behalf of our partner organisations.

Grant Management Lead

We are seeking a Grant Management Lead who will create a positive impact on communities throughout Northern Ireland by supporting the distribution of grant funding on behalf of our partner organisations, including Landfill and Windfarm Community Funds, that will result in meaningful social change for communities and individuals.

The successful candidate will have excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail, as well as first-rate written and verbal communication skills. With an outgoing, professional manner, work well to deadlines, have a propensity for thinking ahead, and the ability to rise to the challenge of new or unexpected circumstances. A facility to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions is highly desirable.  Self-motivated and dynamic and have a commitment to self-development and have a strong personal commitment to the aims and objectives of GWNI.

What we look for in your application:

Essential Criteria:

  • Have a minimum one year’s experience managing grant funding.
  • Ability to interpret and apply guidelines, critique documents and provide constructive feedback.
  • Excellent customer services and interpersonal skills and the ability to provide clear, accurate advice.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with proven ability to organise and prioritise work and complete tasks with tight timeframes whilst maintaining attention to detail.
  • Fully proficient at using IT systems, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office packages
  • Experience of report writing and giving presentations.
  • A full driving licence which enables the holder to drive in Northern Ireland and access to a car for official business (or access to a form of transport which will enable the applicant to meet the requirements of the post in full)
  • A willingness to undertake regular travel and to work out of office hours where necessary

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience and understanding of ENTRUST regulations.
  • Experience of working with local communities.
  • Experience of project management and project management tools.
  • Experience of working with stakeholders from a variety of different sectors.

Salary:                        £24,716 per annum

Hours of Work:           37.5 hours per week

Holidays:                    25 days per annum plus 11 customary days
