Futures Project - Youth Facilitator (2 full time posts – 36hpw)

It aims to provide training and progression routes for a target of 800 marginalised young people over the 2017-2021 period. The project is funded under the PEACE IV Programme which is managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB). The Futures Project is one of 10 innovative and exciting new initiatives under the Children & Young People Priority of the PEACE IV Programme designed to offer an intensive and long term, high quality youth work approach to expose young people to new possibilities and new relationships, raise aspirations; recognise and develop important capabilities; help them navigate their worlds (own community, other communities, family, peers, services etc.) and work towards their continued positive engagement.
The Project has a budget of approximately €4 million. In keeping with the aims and objectives of the PEACE Programme the project will focus on three key outcome areas for participating young people; personal and social development; good relations and citizenship.
As part of this project, Belfast Met, the lead partner, now wish to appoint to the following full time posts:
Salary £23,166 - £27,394
Temporary contract to 31/12/18 subject to extension on completion of Project Phase 1
