The Floating Support team assists adults living in their own home to carry out their housing responsibilities as independently as possible by tailoring a programme to suit their individual needs.

The Cedar Foundation deliver a range of services centred around the individual needs of each person and enabling people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities.
Our Floating Support team assists adults living in their own home to carry out their housing responsibilities as independently as possible by tailoring a programme to suit their individual needs.
All services are focused on the goals of the person and based on partnership working with them, their families and other health professionals.
The programme is tailored to suit each individual. Time is spent initially to design and agree a personal Support Plan. Typically support is up to 6 hours per week up to a maximum of two years. Support covers the following areas:

  • Budget management
  • Maintaining a healthy lifestyle
  • Home safety
  • Finding sources of benefits advice and information
  • Knowing your rights as a tenant
  • Meeting tenant responsibilities
  • Developing social and life skills
  • Sourcing advice on adaptations for the home

Due to rapid continual growth and development, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Floating Support Worker to join our team In Coleraine. We are looking for confident, calm and compassionate people who can provide meaningful support.

Hours: 37
Contract: Permanent
Location: Rathlea House, Mount Fern Complex, 8a Rugby Avenue. Coleraine BT52 1JL
Salary: £18,426 per annum

Essential Criteria:

  • Basic qualification to NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year’s paid and/or voluntary experience of providing support services to people with disabilities or other vulnerable individuals
  • Hold a full current driving licence valid for use in the UK and Ireland and have access to a car on appointment.

*This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability, which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full.*
