A unique opportunity has arisen within the finance department of Thriving Life church. The Finance Officer will be key member of TLC.
You’ll get to play a role in helping us attain our vision of reaching spiritually lost people in Newtownards and beyond, while working in a friendly and supportive work environment.
This is a busy role with a varied workload, competitive salary, and a permanent contract.

The job duties will include:
- Produce Monthly Management accounts
- Maintenance of accurate financial records using Sage 50
- Processing cash receipts and supplier payments
- Bank postings and reconciliation
- Invoicing, Lodgements etc
- Employee and volunteer expenses claim review and processing
- Nominal ledger journals
- Payroll and budgeting
- Preparing Year end accounts for auditors
This is not an exhaustive list of duties.
Essential Criteria:
We are looking for someone who has:
- At least an NVQ level 3 (A level equivalent) or a relevant finance qualification.
- At least two years’ experience working in a busy finance department.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- The ability to demonstrate a high level of accuracy
- The ability to work to deadlines
- Good all-round communication and organisational skills.
