Touching Lives - Transforming Families
Touching Lives – Transforming Families is an exciting and innovative Project funded by the National Lottery Community Fund. Sense will lead and co-ordinate the Project in partnership with the: Belfast; Northern; South Eastern; Southern and Western Health and Social Care Trusts.
About the role
Sense are looking for a Family Support Workers to work part time 30 hours per week. This is maternity cover position up to June 2020.
The Family Support Worker will support children and families in their homes and local communities through the provision of home visits, play and leisure activities and family events. You will also work with services to provide information, training and support designed to create a local support network for each family.
The project will work across Northern Ireland to provide support to children with sensory impairments and additional support needs and their families. The Family Support Worker will be based at separate locations in the Southern Trust areas providing locally based support to children and families and developing skills within the local community to increase the range of accessible locally based services
This role will hot desk from offices in Armagh, Newry and Portadown based within the Southern Health Trust. You will be required to have access to transport for this role.
