Family Support Team Leader

TinyLife are recruiting a Family Support Team Leader.

Are you passionate about working for and contributing to an organisation that makes a difference by supporting families with premature babies in your community?

If so, this might be the role for you. It’s more than just a job.

TinyLife is NI’s premature baby charity. We understand that having a baby in the neonatal unit is a stressful and anxious time, so our specialist services provide both practical and emotional support to families. Parents have called this a “lifeline” in times of need and uncertainty.

The Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing effective support and management to the Family Support Team to ensure excellent service delivery of practical and emotional support to families throughout Northern Ireland.
  • Supporting the Head of Operations in delivering effective and professional operational delivery, including proactively identifying challenges and seeking resolution
  • Supporting the Head of Operations in staff related duties
  • Providing effective support and role modelling to the Family Support Team; including ensuring any training and development needs are met
  • Representing TinyLife as appropriate with parents, healthcare professionals, fundraisers and others (as required), ensuring effective communication systems are in place
  • Overseeing the needs assessment process to align TinyLife’s services to current and future service users
  • Reviewing current practices and identifying new approaches to improve quality and efficiency of service; including regularly assessing the service provided by meeting with families to gain feedback on the service received
  • Assisting with the collation and completion of reports as required
  • Continually ensuring the effective financial management and use of resources (staff, financial and physical) in line with agreed budgets
