Voluntary / Community / Black Asian Minority Ethnic Sector Representatives On To Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership 2020-2023.

Children in Northern Ireland (CiNI) has been requested by the Health and Social Care Board to co-ordinate the recruitment process for community, voluntary and BAME sector representatives on to the Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership (CYPSP).

  • The purpose of the Children and Young People’s Strategic Partnership is to put in place integrated planning and commissioning across agencies and sectors, through the Children and Young People’s Plan, aimed at improving wellbeing and the realization of rights of children in Northern Ireland, in relation to the 8 outcomes as set out in the Northern Ireland Executive Children and Young People’s Strategy 2020-2030
  • To ensure that the CYPSP will be informed by and inform individual organisational business, corporate and community plans.
  • To ensure the participation and involvement of children, young people, families and communities in the integrated planning process.
  • To ensure an effective and efficient, fully mandated structure which is representative of all key stakeholders is in place to carry out the work of the partnership.

The Membership of the CYPSP is by application through an Expression of Interest. The selection process will be in two stages.  The first part of the process managed by Children in Northern Ireland and CYPSP staff will identify all applicants with the potential to contribute to the work of the CYPSP.  The second part of the process will see a list of eligible applicants passed to the Chairperson of the CYPSP who will identify applicants best able to contribute to the work of the Partnership.  Those not selected will become part of a reserve panel open for the lifetime of this term of membership.  Please note two terms will be the norm with a third term at the discretion of the Chair.

Anyone selected to sit on the CYPSP can have one named substitute.  Please also note that attendance will be recorded and set out in the annual report.
