Empowerment Group Support Volunteer - Holywood

As an Empowerment group support volunteer your role will be to assist our members and empowerment officer during our group meetings. This role can be quite varied, and you may be required to take minutes of the meeting for the empowerment officer or help members by reading through documents and jotting down notes for them. You will also help with the smooth running of the group, greeting and escorting members in and out of the building, helping to make tea/coffee and helping with administrative tasks. You will be responsible for keeping a register of attendee’s, supporting members during comfort breaks, and having an awareness of complex issues and report them when required. You will have a keen interest in enabling people with dementia to have their voice heard. Our groups meets fortnightly in the Holywood location and they last for 2 hours each time.
