Job Purpose

To deliver Employability Workshops on the Steps to Success Programme, assisting clients to overcome their barriers to employment, and imparting the necessary skills required to move into sustainable employment.

 

Responsibilities:

Be responsible for the delivery of employability, personal development and vocational skills training for participants on Steps 2 Success in both a group and one-to-one settings to include: CV development; Application Guidance; Interview Techniques and IT support etc.

Actively manage a small caseload of clients ensuring individual employment needs are addressed and appropriate support is in place.

Induct new clients on to the programme by providing accurate information about the services and the support available.

Carry out detailed assessments of client’s needs, identifying and addressing personal barriers to education which are affecting individual participants.

Develop Action Plans to address the barriers that are preventing the client finding and sustaining work.

Assist clients with job-search activities, CV planning, job matching, interview techniques and sustainability of employment.

Provide an excellent level of customer care to all participants ensuring a welcoming environment and professional approach at all times.

Be responsible for maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of participant attendance and progress.

Daily update of the Management Information System designed for the Steps 2 Success Programme.

Maintain a high standard of training and assessment and ensure performance targets are achieved.

Develop and sustain effective working relationships with the Employment Coaches, Team Lead and Sales Team and Management ensuring there is an understanding of training objectives.

Develop training materials where necessary and make available to other tutors within the Company.

 

What we are looking for:

Level 3 qualification (or higher).

4 GCSE’s at grade C or above (or equivalent) to include English.

Experience of developing training workshops and resources.

Experience of delivering both group and one-to-one training sessions.

A demonstrable track record of consistently having met and exceeded targets over a reasonable period of time.

Strong knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to coach, mentor and develop others.

Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes or ability to demonstrate alternative method of being able to fulfil any travel related duties of the role.
