EMDR (with CBT) Therapist required part-time until March 2021 with possibility of extension dependent on funding – 21 hours spread over 3-5 days to be agreed with the post holder.

Location: Brooke House Health and Wellbeing Centre, Colebrooke Park, 26 Colebrook Park Road, Brookeborough, Co Fermanagh, BT94 4DW. The successful applicant may be required periodically to work across other locations covering the Brooke House catchment areas.   

Responsible to: Centre Director                                                                    

Accountable to: Clinical Health and Wellbeing Manager

Key Relationships: Clients and staff of the Brooke House Health and Wellbeing Centre, other Veterans/ex-service personnel services, other statutory and voluntary sector organisations as appropriate. 

Grade:  Band 7 dependant on experience.

Job Summary: 

Referrals to the Brooke House Health and Wellbeing Centre are veterans/ex-service personnel. Clients can self-refer or be referred by statutory services, the voluntary/ community sector, or Armed Forces charities/associations.

To provide a high-quality specialist service to clients with trauma related presentations within the Brooke House Health and Wellbeing Centre. This will involve providing specialist psychological assessments and interventions (EMDR, trauma focussed CBT), including risk assessment and management, care planning and referring/signposting to appropriate services based on need, as well as developing and delivering psychoeducation/group interventions under the supervision of a qualified member of the team.

To work independently within professional guidelines, according to a plan agreed with the line manager/clinical lead, and within the overall framework of the team’s policies and procedures.

To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work.

To liaise with Brooke House staff, service users and families/carers, statutory and non-statutory mental health services, GPs, and other relevant professionals/organisations involved in client care.
