16 hours worked over 2.5 days. Colin Sure Start is a government led initiative aimed at supporting parents through pregnancy and their child's early years, ensuring every child has the best possible start in life.

Main Duties:

 

  1. To provide a safe, stimulating and varied programme of play and learning opportunities for children participating in Colin Sure Start’s Early Years Services.
  2. To provide cover as and when required in the Developmental Programme for 2-3 Year Olds, Play2Learn and Little Rainbows Programmes and any other children’s groups, as well as supporting the delivery of other Colin Sure Start early years programmes.
  3. To promote the holistic development of children and to work in the interest of children at all times, while ensuring the maintenance and improvement of a welcoming child centred environment.
  4. To contribute to the development of plans and activities aimed at targeting specific learning needs of key children.
  5. To develop supportive relationships with parents/carers and encourage parental involvement with the project and carry out home visits when required.
  6. To ensure good standards of hygiene and safety and observe all relevant

          health and safety rules and guidelines.

  1. To ensure confidentiality of information relating to children and families at all times.
  2. To comply with Sure Start policies and procedures and be aware of and work in accordance with relevant legislation at all times.
  3. To participate in induction and training programmes, meetings and supervision as required.
