Our Waterside Surestart service provides a Surestart service for children aged 0-4 years and their parents. As an Early Years Worker you will engage in developmental programmes for mainly 2-3 years old and crèche (from baby) to facilitate the parenting programmes we run.

 

The role:

As an Early Years Worker, you will coordinate the support we provide to children, young people and their families by providing interventions in accordance with organisational policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, helping to build happier lives

By facilitating the provision of the Developmental programme for 2-3yr olds.

By completing assessments and individual plans for key children.

By participating in transitions, stay and play sessions, outings and events within the programme.

By building positive supportive caring relationships with children and parents.

By communicating clearly both written and verbal with parents and other professionals.

By providing positive learning experiences through play, social interactions and encouraging positive behaviours for children.

 

The person

You'll need:

Experience of working with children

To work in partnership with parents, carers and children

The ability to work both within a team and on your own initiative

Commitment to projects and families

To be willing to undertake relevant training.
