CADA NI are looking for a Development Officer to support the Coalition of Aid and Development Agencies (CADA) to effectively maintain and develop its work and impact on behalf of the international development sector in Northern Ireland.

The CADA NI Development Officer post is hosted by Concern Worldwide (UK) and employed under a Concern (UK) employment contract and terms and conditions.

Please note this is a Fixed Term contract until 25 June 2022.

This is the first Development Officer post (part-time 17.5 hours per week) for CADA NI. It is an exciting opportunity to work with the CADA NI Board and Public Engagement Group on the development of CADA in Northern Ireland and, in particular, to work at establishing the One World Festival over the next three years.

Funding: This is a DFID funded post as part of a UK wide project funded by BOND

About the role: 

  • To support the Coalition of Aid and Development Agencies (CADA) to effectively maintain and develop its work and impact on behalf of the international development sector in Northern Ireland.
  • The post holder will support the CADA Management Committee and Sub-Groups in developing the One World Festival, other CADA public events, increasing CADA membership, coordinating CADA training and networking events, and providing administrative and communications support.
  • The post holder will support the CADA NI Management Committee to effectively maintain and develop its work and impact on behalf of the international development sector in Northern Ireland. The post holder will support the CADA Management Committee and Public Engagement Group in developing the One World Festival, increasing CADA membership, coordinating CADA training and networking events, and providing administrative and communications support.

 

About you:

  • As the CADA NI Development Officer, you will be a highly motivated self-starter who takes full ownership of your role.  It will be your chance to demonstrate and further develop your existing planning, networking, relationship management, event management, and communication skills.
  • You will have at least two years experience in an international development, sales and marketing, event management or fundraising role, with clear evidence of a track record of achievement
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work outside of normal working hours, as the role may occasionally require evening and weekend work.
