Community Inclusion & Progression Support Worker - Orchardville

Orchardville is a registered charity under the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.  We have been supporting people with Learning Disabilities and / or Autism in employment in Belfast for over 35 years.  Founded in 1982 by a group of parents and carers who sought a more challenging alternative to Day Centres, Orchardville has continued to grow geographically and the services offered have developed and expanded substantially over the years.

Salary:  £8.86 per hour, rising to £9.04 per hour after successful completion of a 6-month probationary period

Pension: Workplace Pension Scheme with 7% Employer contribution, and 1% Employee Contribution (after qualifying period).

Hours:  20 hours per week (9.30am - 1.30pm or 10am - 2pm Monday - Friday)

Location:  Orchardville, Bangor (159 Belfast Road, Bangor, BT20 3PP)

The post-holder will:

Work as part of the Community team by providing group and one-to-one support to participants with learning disability and / or autism to enable them to access group activities and maximise their individual potential.  Activities will promote greater independence, confidence and the development of new skills.

Closing Date:  Tuesday 30th April 2019 at 12 noon.
