We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Fundraising Team as a Community Fundraising Officer as we celebrate 30 Years in Hospice.

COMMUNITY FUNDRAISING OFFICER Ref: CFO14/19

Maternity cover up to 1 year

Band 4 £19,217 - £22,458 – 35 hours per week

The successful candidate will proactively develop and implement a fundraising strategy to maximise income from community contacts, community groups and societies, whilst raising awareness of hospice services.  You must be able to achieve targets set and initiate fundraising campaigns and events which can be delivered in the community setting.  You should be an excellent communicator and demonstrate an ability to work across a wide spectrum of supporters

Applicants must have a degree in Events/PR or equivalent with a minimum of 1 year experience in a fundraising/marketing role or have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fundraising/marketing/sales role with knowledge of direct marketing campaigns.   

Candidates must have excellent organisational skills, matched with a “can do” attitude. Candidates must also have a good working knowledge of Microsoft packages and Social Media tools.  A flair for graphic design would be an advantage.  The successful candidate must be able to work weekends and evenings.  They must also have excellent communication and organisational skills, have a full driving licence and access to a car.
