Concern Worldwide (UK) seek a Community Fundraising Executive to join the Community Fundraising team.

About the role

  • You will inspire and motivate people, both individually and through organisations, to support Concern by participating in fundraising events & campaigns.
  • Contribute to department income targets by successfully managing a proactively developing community fundraising activities
  • Manage all aspects of agreed key fundraising events for example,  Marathon and or annual Triathlon

About you

  • You will have a third level qualification in a relevant subject or at least 2 years experience in professional fundraising, events, sales or marketing activities.
  • Excellent communication skills to include strong presentation skills with experience of presenting to a variety of groups.
  • Willingness and the ability to travel and work outside of normal working hours as the role will require occasional evening and weekend work.

Community fundraising is an essential part of our voluntary income. The Community Fundraising Team is responsible for supporting a wide range of fundraising activities with individuals, schools, community organisations and our local Concern groups across Northern Ireland. The team support on-going activities and seek new opportunities to generate much-needed funds for our work overseas.

The Community Fundraising Team lead our events-based fundraising, including high profile events such as the London Marathon and London Triathlon. The team also deliver the annual Concern 24 hour sponsored FAST campaign, seeking to maximise support from individuals and schools fundraising. 

This is an exciting time to be joining our Community Fundraising team as we are working in collaboration with an international INGO to launch a new fundraising event in the coming weeks in April 2019 called the Ration Challenge.

We are looking for a passionate person to join our team to inspire and equip people to raise funds through these key community events, to tackle hunger for the most vulnerable people in 24 of the world’s poorest countries.
