Location: Service will cover the Newtownabbey, Carrickfergus and Larne areas. Base will initially be in Ballyclare

Salary: £15,968 - £18,457 per annum, pro rata

Type of contract: 37.5 hrs per week

Duration: Permanent

Closing date:  8th April 2019 at 12 noon

Community services offer a variety of ways of supporting people, from one-to-one support and group work, to accessing social spaces and the development of user-led services.  Each service has its own local agreement detailing what needs to be delivered by the service.

The role involves:

 Improving the lives of people experiencing mental health difficulties:-

• Through the support planning process, the Community Bridge Building Project will support the service user to access community-based activities.
• Through clear goal setting with the service user to enable then to recover a meaningful quality of life.
• By supporting the individual to develop their personal strengths and independence
   
  Key objectives for the post:

• Work in partnership with the individual service user to develop recovery support plans based on individual needs and strengths.
• Develop a Directory of local services for their specific area base.
• Identify and process referrals by working in partnership with relevant agencies

Experience and knowledge required:

• Must be able to demonstrate experience of providing support to people with a mental illness either in a paid or voluntary position.

The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced NI check (with VA Barred List check)
