To work alongside the Outreach Support Workers in providing services to women and children affected by domestic violence and who fall within the Coleraine Sure Start partnership criteria.
- Assist the work of the Outreach Support Workers by providing appropriate stimulating play activities for children during family visits.
- Provide parenting support to mothers.
- Identify and respond to the needs of children through the use of Women’s Aid activity packs and programmes as appropriate.
- Organise and participate in outings and visits.
- Organise and deliver play sessions promoting the importance of play and positive interaction between mothers and children.
- To contribute to the delivery of programmes to parents as required.
- To maintain and collate statistics relating to their own work for the purposes of weekly and monthly returns.
- To deliver services in line with the targets and outputs identified by Causeway Women’s Aid and required by funders.
- To liaise with other voluntary and statutory agencies as required in support of families.
