The Communication Officer will provide support to the organisation in delivery of the Communications Strategy

The Cedar foundation deliver a range of services that enable people with disabilities to get the most out of life and to be fully included in their communities. Our services are centred around the individual needs of each person and are delivered throughout Northern Ireland.

The Communication Officer will provide support to the organisation in delivery of the Communications Strategy to include updating Cedar’s website, social media channels and print and online marketing materials. To support Cedar’s Services and User Forum in relation to local promotional activities and events.


Hours:                                  25 Hours per Week
Contract:                             Temporary (Maternity Cover)
Location:                             Belfast
Office Base:                        The Cedar Foundation, Balmoral
Salary:                                 3 point incremental scale starting on £22,462 pro rata
 

Essential:                           
Minimum RQF level 6/Degree or equivalent level professional qualification
AND
Minimum of 1 year’s experience supporting communications, marketing or PR in a voluntary sector organisation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
Experience in use of social media platforms for professional purposes (Facebook, Twitter)
Knowledge of fundraising activity in the charity sector
Hold a full current driving licence with access to a vehicle for work purposes*
*This criterion will be waived in the case of a suitable applicant who has a disability which prohibits them from driving but who is able to organise suitable alternative arrangements in order to meet the requirements of the post in full.
