Location: Head Office: Pinewood House, 46 Newforge Lane, Belfast, BT9 5NW

Salary: Band 4 - £27,000 - £29,500. Starting Salary: £27,000 (Point 4.0)

Type of contract: 37.5 hours per week

Duration: Fixed term for 1 year to cover Maternity leave

Closing date: 12 noon, Thursday 8th October 2020

We are currently looking for an experienced Communications Manager to join our team to support MindWise reach its strategic goals.

About the role

In this role, you’ll be responsible for overseeing MindWise’s internal and external presence across all our platforms, including website, social media, media and more, ensuring brand consistency and effective project management and story-telling techniques are used for maximum impact. You will manage MindWise’s campaigns and ensure that MindWise’s information, services, support and fundraising are effectively promoted.

The role of the Communications Manager is to:

1. Lead on the implementation and further development of our communications and digital strategies, ensuring that MindWise communicates effectively internally and externally.
2. Lead on MindWise’s lobbying, campaigning, and public affairs.
3. Lead on the development of our membership offer as key to ensuring that their voice is heard.
4. Actively contribute to the work of Mental Health UK, ensuring partnerships are developed and maintained across the Four Nations.
5. Publications, digital and planning.
6. Provide line management support and development to Communications and Fundraising Officer.

Experience and knowledge required:

• A minimum of four years’ recent experience working in a Communications/Digital Communications role.
• Experience of planning and delivering integrated communications campaigns across variety of platforms and to a diverse range of audiences.
• Experience of digital project management, including website content planning, technical development and managing third party suppliers.
• Experience of digital marketing including developing, maintaining and growing social media channels and email marketing.
• Experience of planning and executing integrated campaigns over a variety of platforms.
• Experience of media management and a proven track record of building relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Experience of managing budgets.
