Communications and Administration Officer

Community Work Ireland and the All Ireland Endorsement Body for Community Work Education and Training (AIEB) are are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to provide communications and administration support to both bodies.

Community Work Ireland is a national organisation that promotes and supports community work as a means of addressing poverty, social exclusion and inequality, promoting, protecting and advancing human rights and ultimately achieving social change that will contribute to the creation of a just, sustainable and equal society

The All Ireland Endorsement Body for Community Work Education and Training (AIEB) was established in 2010 as an all-Ireland body ensuring quality and standards in community work education and practice.

Community Work Ireland and the AIEB are seeking to recruit a suitable candidate to provide communications and administration support to both bodies.

This is a unique opportunity for anyone seeking to work in a dynamic, interesting and developing sector and who is interested in fulfilling an important role in organisations that work to promote empowerment, equality, social justice, anti-discrimination and human rights.

The Communications and Administration Officer will oversee communications and maintain and develop the financial, administration, organisational and governance procedures of CWI and AIEB. AIEB, an independent body with its own board, is hosted and supported by Community Work Ireland.

4 Days Per Week (flexible) two-year Contract

Salary: €28,000 (€35,000 per annum pro rata)

Experience: At least two years’ experience in an office environment including experience in general secretarial, administration and accounting, organising meetings/events, online communications platforms, production of online newsletters and website maintenance.

Location: Ability to work from home essential for the duration of the Covid-19 restrictions. Post Covid, the successful candidate will be located in the Community Work Ireland office in Galway.
