Orchard @ The Grove Café will provide catering services within the Grove Well-being centre in North Belfast, delivering a variety of delicious menu options using only high-quality local ingredients. In addition to bringing 11 new job opportunities to the local area, this project will help us to raise awareness of learning disability and autism and create meaningful activity and skills development for participants.

To help us make Orchard @ The Grove a huge success, we are recruiting a full café team of Catering Assistants, Cooks and a Catering Supervisor.

 

Catering Supervisor – Orchard @ The Grove

Location: Grove Well-being Centre, 120 York Road, Belfast, BT15 3HF

Hours: 35 hours per week.

The café will be open 7 days a week  between 8.30am – 9pm Monday – Friday, and 10am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday. Unless otherwise stated, all roles will be worked on a rota basis across the full week.

Salary: £10.05 per hour (rising to £10.26 per hour after completion of a 6-month probationary period)

Pension: 7% employer contribution & 1% Employee Contribution (after qualifying period)

This role will initially be offered on a fixed term contract basis until 31st December 2021, with possibility for extension.

To be shortlisted for this role, you must have:

  • Relevant qualification in a catering subject
  • 2 years’  experience in a busy café or similar environment
  • Previous supervisory experience in a catering / hospitality environment
  • Understanding of Health & Safety procedures including COSHH and HACCP
  • Experience of cash handling, stock and portion control
  • An understanding of gross-profit targets
  • Be fully flexible with regards to working hours
