Kellie Armstrong MLA is recruiting for a Casework and Constituency Office Manager. The role is a key member of Kellie's team delivering solutions and making life better for people living across the Strangford Constituency.
“To carry out the function of providing constituency services and support for Kellie Armstrong MLA - Alliance MLA for Strangford, residents of the Strangford Constituency and appropriate stakeholders during the Assembly term 2017-2022"
Casework
- Delivering effective management, processing and completion of constituent casework for Kellie Armstrong MLA
- Working with constituents directly on individual cases, issues and constituency matters
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills relevant to deliver effective casework for constituents
- Attending constituency surgeries, welfare tribunals and meetings as appropriate
- Working with the MLA to deliver door to door contact with constituents as part of our outreach service
- Dealing with complex queries and complaints on Member’s behalf, including drafting letters for Member to sign
- Ensuring that casework is dealt with sensitively and confidentially
Office Management
- Management and maintenance of all office systems, processes and procedures
- Responsibility for management of office leases, equipment, resources and operational expenses as per NI Assembly Determination rules
- Responsibility for efficient data and file management to comply with data management rules
- Maintaining a welcoming constituency office, open #ForEveryone
Communication and marketing
- Maintaining, updating and designing MLA website, social media and other communications to ensure the work of Kellie Armstrong MLA is appropriately communicated to constituents and relevant stakeholders
- To work with Kellie Armstrong MLA and the staff team to identify opportunities to progress change for the benefit of constituents and a shared future in NI
- Building relationships with business, community and other groups in the constituency
- Providing regular reports confirming the progress of cases and issues in the constituency
- Attending work related training and networking meetings to develop skills
Other duties as required in support of the MLA carrying out their Assembly and Constituency duties
