ADMINISTRATION OFFICER- 37.5 hours per week- Immediate start required

Salary: £15,426 (Inc Pension & NICER) for 8 Months

F.R.P.U has received funding through the Victims & Survivors Service and to provide an Advocacy Service for those affected by the Northern Ireland troubles. The organisation seeks to recruit a highly skilled individual to help front up this service of a Administration Officer.

It will be a full time post funded until March 2019. (8 Months) *May be extended subject to funding

37.5 hours per week.

The successful applicant will be based in an office accommodation within Markethill. Co.Armagh.

Description:

Administrative Officer Responsibilities

Required to work closely with the existing Advocacy team to:

· Facilitate the composition of letters to statutory bodies, political parties and other public offices.

· Filing duties including keeping electronic records (with appropriate levels of password encryption) in addition to the maintenance of a paper filing system using secured manual storage.

· Set up meetings & liaise closely with: clients, statutory bodies, political representatives, funding bodies or other levels of public office as and when required.

· Attend meetings which will be Morning, Afternoon and Evening, scribe minutes to record the events & type up a comprehensive record of proceedings.

· Carry out research into specific events/ incidents which occurred during the Northern Ireland troubles – this will involve mobile work at various locations throughout Northern Ireland.

· Possess the ability to demonstrate the reporting of data & generation of statistics using Microsoft Office applications (including: bar charts, pie charts & PowerPoint presentations).

· Other office duties will be required.

 

Essential:

- Maths, English and ICT GCSE or equivalent

- Experience in Word-processing and Excel spreadsheet

  • Experience with filling systems both computer and manual
  • Good working knowledge of administration
  • Ability to work flexible hours (Evening work may be required)
  • Hold a full clean driving license and have own transport (Post may require Mobile work in various locations within Northern Ireland)
  • Efficient use of Microsoft office

Desirable:

      • Have previously worked and/or volunteered within the victim/community/voluntary sector
      • Have a good local knowledge of the area.
      • Previous experience of minute taking
      • Experience of working a busy office environment
      • Ability to prepare a comprehensive report
      • Hold good administration skills to enable the smooth running of a project office
