Volunteering

Administration Volunteer (Antrim)

MS Society NI

Administration
Using their interpersonal and organisational skills, our Administration Volunteers are the linchpin for all local group activity.

About this opportunity
We are looking to recruit an Administration Volunteer for the Antrim Group. As an Administration Volunteer you will be organising the admin of a group and ensuring group volunteers are aware of current agreements and activities.

We are a small but active and welcoming team of volunteers. We provide support to local people living with MS by running monthly coffee/support meetups in Antrim, Information events, seasonal outings and Christmas dinners and hopefully soon an exercise taster session. We also hold fundraising events to help provide the support needed and monthly team meetings to organise and plan our activities.

Your role as administrative volunteer within this team is very important. To note down actions and decisions in the monthly team meetings, to help with mailing out invitations to events, to be part of the team in thinking up ideas or helping to support events. This role is what you'd like to make of it. The opportunity to connect with other people, to work in a friendly and supportive team and to make a real difference to people living with MS in the Antrim area by the support you are helping to provide together with your other volunteers.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a large charity, develop your existing skills and learn new ones. We need you to get involved and help make positive changes to the lives of people affected by MS.

About you
You’ll have an interest in the MS Society and the work that we do, as well as the enthusiasm to represent both us and our values locally. You will understand the needs of people affected by MS in your area and be sympathetic to the needs and motivations of volunteers. You’ll be a keen organiser of admin and record keeping and willing to share information with others.

It would be great to welcome a friendly, enthusiastic, diligent person to join our Antrim team in this role. Someone who works well in a team - can communicate with other team members, is happy to get involved and who is motivated to monitor and update the account as required and raise any ideas, thoughts or concerns.

You’ll need to live in the Antrim area to carry out this role.

The MS Society is committed to promoting diversity. We can only offer roles to over 18s.
