Arts and Activities Co-ordinator

Part time, 21 hours per week

This role offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the rehabilitation of people with an alcohol related brain injury and to support them in their journey towards independence.  This role will provide an incomparable opportunity to use your creative skills and artistic knowledge to make a real and lasting difference in the lives of people with an ARBI.

Please note: that whilst the Job Description attached is generic, for this specialist role we will require all applicants to hold a 3rd Level Degree in Visual Arts. As the Arts and Activity Co-ordinator for this new service, you will work as part of a multi – disciplinary team liaising with the Clinical Team and Support Staff to design and deliver person-centred activities to contribute positively to the emotional well-being and cognitive functioning of the individual. You personally will provide a therapeutic activity programme through a variety of artistic mediums as well as source and coordinate activities with other providers to meet the rehabilitative needs of the people we support.

Experience and knowledge of positive behaviour support and/ or experience in working with individuals with complex needs (including Drug and Alcohol Use, Mental Health, Alcohol – related brain injury, and acquired brain injury) would be advantageous.

Experience of delivering one- to -one and group workshops or activities would also be advantageous
