Disability Sport NI is currently recruiting the following post:

Active Recreation Officer – Belfast Disability Sports Hub

Salary Scale:  NJC Point 12-17 (£21,589 - £23,826)

Fixed Term Contract to 31st March 2021 (with the likely extension to March 2022: Subject to funding).

The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and delivery of a range of inclusive sport and active recreation programmes and events for people with disabilities at a new ‘Disability Sports Hub’ located at Girdwood Community Hub in North Belfast, as well as the delivery of a wider community outreach programme throughout the Belfast City Council area.

Essential criteria for the above post will include:

• A degree or 3rd level qualification which can be demonstrated is relevant to the post.
• Two years full time (or part time equivalent) experience in sports development, sports coaching or community development.
• Two years full time (or part time equivalent) experience in planning, organising and delivering active recreation sessions and opportunities.
• Two years full time (or part time equivalent) experience of working with people with disabilities and other represented groups.
