• Would you like to make a difference to children's lives, be part of a dynamic team? If so Strabane Sure Start are seeking applicants within their main setting and outreach buildings for a cleaner. 
• Main base – Strabane Sure Start, 2a Melmount Rd, with duties also in Unit 21 and Unit 45, Orchard Road Industrial Estate, Strabane
•  Monday -Friday – 17 hrs per week.  Degree of flexibility.

Strabane Sure Start  supports parents from the ante – natal stage until children are aged 3 years and 11 months. Hygiene and cleanliness is crucial in our settings as parents and children regularly attend our settings. We aim to provide a safe, clean, welcoming environment for all of our families at all times.  We are inspected regularly by environmental health and maintain paper records as well as high standards of cleaning. If you have the skills and experience for this role, we would like to hear from you.

Key Activities:

• To clean all areas of the building, with particular attention to areas

used by service users, e.g. playrooms, kitchen, toilets.

• To maintain good standards of hygiene and to inform the line manager

of any health and safety hazards.

• To inform the line manager of any breakages noted or maintenance

work required.

• To unlock or secure the building according to the hours worked (a

security alarm is in place) and be the first point of call in the event the

alarm is activated.

• To inform the Service Administrator of any cleaning materials required,

within a given budget, to supervise their use and store all materials in

a safe place.

• To attend training courses as required.

• To put all waste materials and rubbish safely and hygienically ready for

easy collection.

• To perform any other duties as requested by the line manager
