We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our collective effort to see children and young people in Rathcoole and Monkstown thrive.
Do you want to work with community leaders to make change happen? Do you believe in children, young people and parents using their power to influence change?
Family Connections is working with pupils and families in Newtownabbey to help children achieve in school and we deliver parenting programmes and promote family well-being.
Barnardo's also co-ordinate an area-wide collaboration THRiVE, working with local parents, schools, churches, statutory and voluntary organisations and community groupsin Newtownabbey to help children and young people thrive. The four key priorities for THRiVE are improving aspiration, attainment, well-being and collaboration. We promote aspirational messages through our WE CAN campaign and use community development approaches to engage children, young people, parents and community organisations.

We are hosting an Information session on Zoom as part of this recruitment process. This will be an opportunity for you to catch the vision of Family Connections, learn more about the programmes and approaches we use and answer any questions. This session will be held on Tuesday 24th May 6.30pm - 7.15pm. Please register by email to [email protected] and a link will be sent to you.
