Cervical Smears: Willow Medical Practice, New LodgeWillow Medical Practice - Dr. O'Donnell & Partner
The surgery is keen to promote prevention of women’s diseases. Smears are normally carried out by our practice nurse, but can also be done by the doctors. Recent guideline changes recommend that women between the ages of 25–49 should have a cervical smear carried out every 3 years and women aged 50–65 should have a cervical smear carried out every five years - it is a quick and painless procedure.
