A free video based training workshop for anyone caring in a personal capacity for someone with an eating disorder. Along with others who are caring for someone with an eating disorder, you’ll learn new skills from an experienced eating disorder clinician. Provides a working knowledge of eating disorders and how they impact the brain and influence your loved one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviour. This project is funded by the NI Carers’ Support Fund.

This International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine accredited qualification teaches the skills, knowledge and competence required of an individual in order to work with clients on specific breathing techniques in both 1:1 or group sessions. Learners will cover: • The anatomy of the lungs; gaseous exchange; the breath-brain connection and the physical and mental benefits of breathwork. • How to hold space for breathwork; creating a trauma-informed space and basic facilitation skills. • How the breath impacts the vagus nerve and its connection to the parasympathetic nervous system. • The structure of a breathwork session and how to build momentum with music and motivational cueing (i.e.what to say and what to play). • The content of a breathwork session with an in-depth study of 6 unique breathwork exercises. • Advanced Facilitation skills – How to plan for emotional and physical reactions; how to modify for different audiences/special populations.

Everyone struggling to understand and access their Healthcare System is welcome. We serve the vulnerable and underserved, who struggle to understand and access healthcare resulting in low healthcare outcomes and increased medical errors and deaths. This includes migrants, including the undocumented, refugees, elderly people as well as people with long-term chronic health conditions, and disabled people who cannot easily access health resources. This qualification provides an introduction to teaching. It can meet the needs of a range of trainee teachers, such as: Individuals not currently teaching or training achievement of the qualification does not require practice other than microteaching unless units from the Learning and Development suite of qualifications are selected; Individuals currently teaching and training (including those who have just begun teaching and training) although the qualification does not require practice other than microteaching (unless units from the Learning and Development suite of qualifications are selected), opportunities may be made available to observe and provide feedback on a trainee teacher’s practice; Individuals currently working as assessors who wish to achieve a qualification that provides an introduction to teaching.

This practical training programme will equip service and project leads with the tools and skills they need to evaluate the impact of their service or intervention in a meaningful way. It is suitable for those who need to understand the basics of evaluation, and those who need to enhance their skills in analysing and reporting data to be able to tell their story. The programme is split into 3 sessions, and you can choose to attend online or in person - you can attend an individual session or all 3 depending on your knowledge and experience.

This 2-hour online training course is designed to assist employers in developing safe, fair, and consistent recruitment practices and better understand what having a conviction means when it comes to employment. It will help them to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, assess risks, dispel myths concerning people with convictions, and enable employers to make informed decisions when deciding whether to employ people with convictions.

The Adult Safeguarding Champion role combines responsibility for strategy, operations and oversight for an organisation in relation to adults at risk of harm under “Adult Safeguarding: Prevention and Protection in Partnership” (2015) and the “Adult Safeguarding Operational Procedures” (2016). Some organisations will also have Appointed Persons, with delegated responsibility for day to day adult safeguarding operations. This is a full day’s training for Adult Safeguarding Champions and Appointed Persons. It covers: The role and responsibilities of the Adult Safeguarding Champion/Appointed Person The safeguarding adults structure for Northern Ireland Determining the correct course of action in relation to safeguarding concerns Consent, capacity and coercion Organisational and Trust responsibilities Monitoring and reporting duties of the Adult Safeguarding Champion. The Big Help Out is a UK-wide campaign designed to raise awareness of volunteering, provide opportunities for people to volunteer and make a difference in their communities.
