The course provides opportunities for critical self-reflection and enables learners to work towards the production of a research proposal. The proposal will cover the field of counselling research YOU are interested in. This can be anything counselling related. The Level 5 qualification also forms part of the requirements to enrol for the AIM Awards Level 6 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (informed by research), which will follow immediately after level 5.
The Level 4 Diploma is our most popular qualification we have on offer. At this level, you can practice and apply for paid work as a counsellor. Many of our students, have worked for many years in professions that has brought a certain amount of 'unhappiness. Lagan Dragons is Northern Ireland’s first ever breast cancer survivor Dragon Boat team, formed in September 2015, with training sessions from Belfast Boat Club, 12 Lockview Road, Belfast.
Our team is open and inclusive to all, however, we are primarily made up of breast cancer survivors, family members and medical professionals who have supported us and been involved in our diagnoses and treatment, but we welcome new members of all ages, backgrounds and abilities!

The level 3 award is designed for those working towards a teaching/training qualification or for those who don't want to take a qualification but want more information about how to teach/train effectively, for example, in your workplace if you train people as part of your job either in groups or as individuals.

inception of the Welfare State. It provides participants
with an overview of which means tested benefits Universal
Credit replaces, how entitlement is calculated, how it
works for different groups of people interfacing with the
benefit and when it will be implemented in the different
geographical areas of Northern Ireland. These sessions
are available for a limited period.
