Wiseradviser - Effectively Challenging Utility Debt

This course focuses on the area of Public and Private Utility Providers, specific to Northern Ireland ONLY. It outlines the Utility Services available and the process of debt recovery by Providers.
The course will enable trainees to advise their clients regarding their rights and responsibilities under the relevant gas, electricity and telecommunications legislation. We will also examine rates in Northern Ireland.
This course will enable you to;
- Understand the codes of practice of utility providers in own region
- Understand the roles and powers of regulatory and statutory bodies.
- Understand the process of dealing with utility debt
Prerequisites
Completion of the Introduction to Providing Debt Advice Course (or equivalent) is required as a pre-requisite for this course. For further information see http://www.wiseradviser.org/northern-ireland
CPD
This course is worth 4.5 CPD Points under the MaPS CPD Scheme. It is also worth 6 CPD Points under the NIAQS (Northern Ireland Advice Quality Standard).
