Talk, Learn, Do NI: Parents, Kids and money FREE Training/Parenting Intervention on Eventbrite

Cost: FREE
Talk, Learn Do Northern Ireland: Teaching children about money Talk, Learn, Do NI provide a FREE 2 hour online training session for parents/carers of children aged 3 to 11 years.

What can you learn from the course?

As a parent, you can learn about: Increasing your knowledge on how to talk to your children about money

  • Teaching your children about money in every day situations for example, going shopping or around the home.
  • How to report on your children's ability to handle and manage money
  • How to manage your own day-to-day money as a parent
  • Teaching your children how to recognise the difference between ‘want’ and ‘need’
  • Teaching your children why you have to say ‘no’ to buying something.

Children learn about money from a very young age. A lot of what they need to learn as adults to manage money and help them avoid financial issues later on in their lives is already in place by the age of 7.

You may think that children shouldn't think about money until they are older. But it's ok to start when they are very young - the key is to keep it relevant to their age group.

Who is it for?

If you are a parent/carer/grandparent or anyone who is interested in passing on its guidance, have fun and give your child the confidence to learn about money from a young age. If you work with parents/carers of young children then this is for you!

We also provide comprehensive six hour online train the trainer course so that you are confident delivering the two hour module and will provide all lesson plan, training guides and materials completely free! If you are interested in our 'Train the Trainer' sessions, you can sign up on our other Train the Trainer Eventbrite page.

Is there a cost?
