Aged 11-17? Do you live in North Belfast or Derry/Londonderry? Think science isn't for you? Let us persuade you!
Join us and learn about science research while gaining new skills in sound recording and editing.
Discover what Dr Koichi Samuels and PhD students have been researching at Queens University Belfast.
We'll look at the Sustainable Development Goals to find out how we can combat climate change through sound!
Dates:
Session 1: Wed 4 Nov (Zoom) 7-9pm
Introduction to Dr Koichi Samuels research at SARC. Discussion on climate action and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Session 2: Sat 14 Nov – in person at Sonic Arts (dependent on current restrictions) 2-4pm
Active listening and field recording fundamentals
Session 3: Wed 25 Nov (Zoom) 7-9pm
Finding sounds and composing with sound
Session 4: Wed 2 Dec (Zoom) 7-9pm
