Growing Better Lives 2018
Social Farms & Gardens
Aimed at practitioners, health commissioners, policy makers and academics, the conference will reflect on the strong and ever-increasing body of evidence about the positive influence of farming and gardening in care and health contexts. It will look at how best to harness those positive benefits in the future. And it will be a chance for practitioners to learn new skills and celebrate success with their peers.
An exciting list of speakers are already confirmed including: Dr Rachel Bragg (Care Farming UK); Dr Mike Hardman (University of Salford); Dr Michelle Howarth (University of Salford); Dr Chiara Tornaghi (University of Coventry), Pam Warhurst (Incredible Edible) and Sarah Williams (Sustain - The Alliance for Food and Farming).
The conference takes place over two days, including an evening community garden party (which features an inaugural Awards Ceremony for farming and gardening heroes). There will also be seminars, workshops and site visits as well as plenty of time for networking. You can come for both days, just one of the days or just for the garden party and awards event!
AVAILABLE NOW: 30 Early Bird discounted tickets for the Full Event. Includes both days and the evening Garden Party.
