As part of the Belfast Agenda - continuing the conversation engagement programme, we are holding an Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Workshop on Monday 7 November at 5pm in City Hall. This workshop will look at the priorities and action plans for the next Belfast Agenda through an equalities and inclusion lens.

We want to make the Belfast Agenda as inclusive as possible, so to help us understand different needs we are holding an Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity Workshop on Monday 7 November from 5pm to 7pm in the Banqueting Hall, City Hall.

We've been holding workshops across the city to hear what local residents, community groups, business and other partners want to see in the refreshed Belfast Agenda - the shared community plan for the city. Now we want to look at the Belfast Agenda from an equality and diversity perspective. We want to hear from people (or their representative organisations) who may find it more challenging to have their voices heard or who may feel more marginalised for example, because they have a disability, English is not their first language or because of their age or other circumstance.

This workshop will look at the proposed action plans and explore:

  1. The opportunities, challenges or barriers that some groups of people or communities may face within the context of the Belfast Agenda priorities.
  2. What we can do through the Belfast Agenda to support them so that everyone can benefit more equally from the Belfast Agenda.
  3. Whether there any key issues that we have missed that you or your community would like to see included in the Belfast Agenda.

Please share details of the workshop with relevant groups and people in your networks and encourage them to come along to share their experiences from an equalities and diversity perspective.
