Our Level 5 Award in Management and Leadership lets you strengthen and develop your knowledge of middle management (and those aspiring to senior management), by focusing on specific management areas that are applicable to your job. Accredited by CMI, one of the leading awarding bodies in leadership and management.

This fully coursework-based qualification has a focus on the personal development of the individual learner's management capabilities and competencies.

The course can be completed either fully online, or via blended learning which is part online part face to face.The assessment consists of one assignment. The learners have up to three months to complete the course.

The course can be completed for individuals who want to gain the qualification on a 1-2-1, flexible bases but don't have the time to dedicate to a classroom setting and it is also available for organisations / groups (significant group discounts are available).

This course is aimed at individuals who recruit, manage or supervise staff and volunteers working with children and/or adults. It will examine the procedures that need to be put in place for effective recruitment and selection of staff and volunteers including requirements under the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (NI) Order, the current and former definitions of regulated activity and how to exercise careful judgement when assessing information on an Access NI Disclosure Certificate. It will also look at the procedures required for the effective management of staff and volunteers including induction and training, breach of code of behaviour and referral to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
