Adviser Network Meeting
Law Centre NI
At the meeting on Friday 28th February Social Security Legal Officer, Michael Black, will be exploring:
1. Fraud Investigations and an interview under caution
Allegations of benefit fraud can be a frightening and daunting experience. Michael will explore a client’s rights and responsibilities when being investigated for benefit fraud. As a result, advisers will be empowered to be able to advise clients on what to expect during these interviews, and on the potential outcomes, including possible criminal convictions and impact on benefit entitlement.
2. Right to Reside and the EU Settlement Scheme
Michael will explore how EUSS impacts a client’s ability to claim and maintain benefits.
You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss the topics with Michael and other advisers.
